MayDay Launch - Corporate Chic !

Hey gals,

We are coming up with a mini-launch next Monday, yes, the May Day holidays.

This round, we pay tribute to the well-dressed ladies in the corporate world. We have carefully selected these professional, stylish and feminine pieces.

Look out for our:

- " Her Charming Confidence" chiffon long-sleeved top in 2 colours: Classic Black & Fair brown. The long sleeves and bottom are smocked and looked best tucked in. So THE-LOOK right now! This piece also comes with a matching inner slip, with rows of diamonte from pit to pit. Definitely worth the price!

- "Uniquely Artistic" Rayon Dress in Classic Black and Character Teal. I had to get the teal piece for myself as the colour was so unique! The cross-tied back adds much attractiveness to this classic piece.

- "Pretty Popular" Chiffon and Lace top, in Pure White and Dusty Pink. The lace details across the neckline is flattering and simply to nice to resist! You can't escape looking feminine yet so well-dressed.

So whether its a piece to reward yourself during this Labour Day, or to prepare stylishly for your internship, we hope you can find something you will love in this collection!

See you for the launch on 2nd May 11, Monday, 8.00pm !

Our first IMPORTED COLLECTION

Hi all,

well this entry should have been up before the launch, but we have been so busy with travelling and preparing our photoshoot for the coming launches.

We do have exciting new plans for SP's expansion, but more on that later

As you would have know, our first imported collection is up!

This launch is titled "Lace Veiled Dreams of You"-  I guess we were both in a real dreamy lacey mood when we were shopping and selecting for this launch that day.

One of the first pieces that got both of us nodding our heads was this:

It kinda reminded me of a tiny wedding dress. Pictured it paired with a black sash and it would look so "Chanel"-ly

The unique part about this dress is that "old lace" quality-- kinda looks like something your mum would one day hand to you in an old antique box , and tell you a nice long sad story of it. Jo thus named this "My Heirloom Lace Memories"

IMO, a gal should have a piece like this. It is so classic, yet a little sexy (love the mesh lining below the dress that shows off your skin a little), you would want to wear it out for a random dinner date.

Our dearest Elaine picked out this lovely dress too, will link up her post here once its up. we cant wait to see how gorgeous she would look in it..

This piece comes in black too.  We have very limited qty in black from our supplier. No surprises since its so pretty!

I also laid eyes on this very sweet piece in pink.

What I loved was the lace straps. the details are so pretty... kinda like my dream border in a scrapbook page

Also spotted this cropped cardigan made of grey cotton and with lace on it. there are little forget-me-not flowers on the lace, sweet!

Of course, we both spotted this top/dress convertible piece
Our model Kelly wore it as a dress, but you can really pair this with a bandage skirt or jeans.

the black lace outer layer comes in a cowl-neck halter, which is so flattering for the arms and shoulders.
it drapes over an inner frill-end layer that comes in the following four flora designs

We also brought in this little petticoat that has a mesh layer at the bottom. use this to line any piece that is either too short/ translucent.. definitely a worthy wardrobe investment :)

Do let us know what you think of this launch or the pieces, as we need feedback for our future selections.

of our very first collection..

Of Our Very First Collection..

ok Jo is currently overseas. Lonely me shall hog some air time here to blog about our first collection launched 2 weeks ago.
The pieces featured were actually the results of our first recce trip to local suppliers. Somehow, the selection kinda reflected our cautious mood back then - Jo and I had just come together and finally decided that we are going to start SashPetals. We were mindful to be very selective, so you can imagine the million questions going through our minds as we went through each item - "ok, do I like this?" "will other girls like this", "what is this suitable for"

We ended up with this batch of apparel which i felt, was Vintage chic, so I took over this lauch to manage
Of course, we had to plan our photoshoot next, so I was busy looking for inspiration on the "feel" I wanted for this series.
Ok Ive got to admit that im very into chiffon-sleeves recently. Jo is pretty much gonna kill me soon for wanting chiffon sleeves in everything.
Why - ok in this crazy humid sg weather, tell me u gals wanna wear long sleeves G2000 stripe shirts.. urrgh!
Before the dawn of chiffon-madess, i think we can forget about looking good in long sleeves
dont we all want wind in our hair..

I picked out "Whisper in the Wind" from the racks cos it looked so windy at first sight, thus the name
Then Jo eyed something assymetrical, her pet shopping peeve. LOL. When I held it, it weighed only like 50 grams i swear!
When conceptualising the photoshoot, i pictured wearing this on the cruise, overlooking the blue blue sea.
Lightness
Named it thus - "Cruise to the Carribean"

This comes in 3 holiday-ish colour - cream, nude, and navy!
I think these pieces looked best tucked into shorts. add a straw hat.. but hey, thats me
The highlight moment of our first "professional shopping trip" (haha, i didnt say? both of us are so happy that we can legitimately spend hours looking at clothes, now that we have SP), was when i spotted something that I had wanted some time ago, but was OOS. So imagine my exhiliaration that i am able to get one, and even sell it on my very own shop

Hint Hint, it was kinda country. but yet, so nice

And being a fan of the classically beautiful Grace Kelly, who won an Oscar for her move "The Country Girl" in 1958

I dedicated this piece to her "A Little Bit Country"
and I really think BURNT ORANGE is so the colour now. together with teal and mustard. 2 years back, I wouldnt have considered these colours, but now i think they give you this whole new level of vibrancy and life, and makes you stand out among perhaps hundreds of others wearing black or white that very day in the MRT, your school/ office.
Oh and I wore it myself and my office gals were giving thumbs up.
The photos are exceptionally pretty for this launch, as we booked more than 4 hrs of Kelly's time for an outdoor shoot. So the pretty pics you see are a result of 5 persons sweating crazy. But we were so happy with the results, as this is how we wanted to kick-start SashPetals, with a Bang!
Im loving this launch. Responses have been good, thanks to friends and family supporting. Some pieces are left as of now, so feel free to drop by and take a look

and oh, so looking forward to Jo's launch of our specially imported apparels, happening in 2 days time
Stay tuned!
