Our sincere thanks to the lovely Collette for her feature on our pieces:
  • JADA - Strap back Maxi - in Navy
  • PATRIDGE - Chiffon top - in Navy
As featured on Collette's blog

SashPetals has just launched a new collection again a few hours ago, and it's their biggest collection yet! The new collection's full of chiffon in all its airy goodness. I'm sure we all love chiffon, don't we! ;)
I have been looking for a nice, basic maxi dress that doesn't look too plain and I've finally found one from SashPetal's latest collection:

Loving the caged-back detail! This dress is really stretchy too, plus point for me! I think it's really really REALLY important for maxi dresses to be stretchy, especially at the bottom because if it isn't, you might just trip and fall. And trust me, you wouldn't want that to happen to you because it happened to me and it was...embarrassing haha.
Last year, I wore a maxi dress out. The dress was made of stiff cotton, not stretchy AT ALL. As usual, when I alighted from the bus, I took a leap from the steps of the bus to the bus stop platform. But boy did I underestimate. My maxi could not stretch far enough to take my feet to the platform, so I fell flat on the floor in front of this girl who looked horrified - :O Most embarrassing moment of my life. Moral of the story: get stretchy maxis.
I love wearing navy coloured clothes, so the other item i picked was a narrow cut chiffon top with a flare bottom which i adored so much, I wore it thrice a week :/ :/ I've been pretty much looking everywhere for a top which is cut in at the shoulder area because I was tired of wearing the conventional wide shouldered tank top. I guess I've finally found my match at SashPetals! :D

I hope you'll enjoy shopping at SashPetals as much as I did! :D

Petals Showered ~ Review on Gardenia Flowers & Bow Dress – in Grey Blue

Sash Petals Gardenia Flowers & Bow Dress – in Grey Blue
by meteorgirl715 on Cozycot

Couldnt resist picking this as i like the colour and the feminine details at the neckline! Item came within 2 days with a note in it!

Didnt had much expectations because of the price and it was from a new blogshop. Material turned out to be quite good with thick cotton and inner lining, not sheer. Only thing was the smocked back, but it could be hidden with a belt. Used a bysi ribbon belt and i like the whole look and how the skirt pleats flare out as well. Love the pearl buttons and crochet details. Didnt like the ribbon on top as i prefer it plain, so i untie it and tie them into a knot at the back. Picturing myself wearing this out for dates and lazy days

Our sincere thanks to Meteorgirl715 for her review and feedback on the dress!

Collection 7- Flowers on my Patio

Hi Loves

Hope your first part of the week has been awesome, and with the coming part nothing less :)
We are here with a mid-week launch at 11.00am today, 15 Jun 11, a mini collection of a beautiful, imported, summer dress

We are calling this mini-collection "Flowers on My Patio"

Available in 3 lovely flora designs (pink-blue, green-blue, and white-pink), this dress features a knit crochet bustier and straps, so you can be assured that it is stretchy and flexible enough, with a feminine and girl-next-door touch to it.
The flora flowy chiffon makes the dress so light, perfect for a weekend out during this summer season.
And this series is imported, so you are assured of a quality and unique piece, as we only have this in v limited quantities!

As usual, we are offering Free Normal Mail for our mailing listees, and in conjuction with our Great Singapore Sale initiatives, we are offering an additional $3 off each item purchased (that also includes any item from our whats' available series). All you have to do is to quote "Summer02" in your order, to enjoy this sweet deal.

See you gals at 11.00am!

Our 6th launch - Summer Story.

While I dont really have a favorite season, i love summers. There is always a positive tone to it; everything becomes brighter, the air is clear

My friend Shernice helped us with the shoot this time round, aint she sweet and so girl-next-door. received some great reviews on her shoot too.

We went for plain studio shots this time round - something that I had, in the beginning of starting SP, been pretty sure I didnt want to have. But many things have changed since. Practicality, for a start, deterred me from organising a 2nd outdoor shoot, and no it wasnt cos I felt hot, cos this ah-sam of a boss feels more like a helper clad in t-shirts and shorts without makeup, it didnt really matter if I sweated. but i really felt for the model having to look pretty in the dressy clothes and still look cool in the shots, and the sweaty photographer, and anyone else around who really came to help but was put through all the heat and standing..
maybe once in a while for a real special series. or just one shot once in a while..

Also making changes to the home studio. Realised that a muslin backdrop = too much to edit. Trying another sweet piece courtesy of my dear friend..

On a seperate note, our mailing list family is growing! Thanks to all who have joined us and it is great to be able to update you with our latest happenings!
